The new EU GDPR privacy regulations are going to impact your business. They are far reaching and very detailed. Don’t panic!
The changes forced on marketers by the EU GDPR privacy laws have had the internet hopping with new privacy policies and standards. But what does it mean for your company and your marketing efforts? As an ethical direct marketer, you want to assure your customers that shopping with you is safe, but what about lists and co-ops? Who can and can’t use your data. What are the new standards? Do anymous cookies count? And how can you best cut through the confusion?
Wouldn’t it be great to have a really nice lawyer sit down with you and explain what you can and can’t do and then answer your questions? We thought so too, so we asked Kevin Haley, part of the Brann and Isaacson legal team, to explain what the regulations are and what they mean to your business. Brann and Isaacson represents over 100 online and multichannel companies, many of whom do significant business in EU contries.
This Pub Talk cuts through the confusion by explaining the GDPR and who it affects. Kevin explains what you will need to do to comply and what really doesn’t matter right now. There is a lot to unpack and more updates to come as marketers try to navigate the new regulations. This is a great place to start and we’ll keep you posted as more changes happen.
